AS floods strike the riverside town of Marlow, you could be forgiven for thinking this is your average resident sensibly dressed for a trip to the shops.
In reality this is Jason Gavin, diver for Hughes Sub Surface Engineering, who has been carrying out some work on Marlow Lock on behalf of the Environment Agency.
Mr Gavin was in the Thames this afternoon performing a routine inspection on the lock gate hinges.
The lock gates themselves had been removed and were hanging semi-submerged from a water-borne crane.
The Environment Agency confirmed that contractors were out today carrying out bank protection work and refurbishing the lock gates.
